"Duck, Duck, Goose"

After lunch on Sunday the guys were on the porch and played a game of Duck, Duck, Goose with Ryley, Ben and Olivia. It was hilarious.

Reese's Blessing/Fall Colors of the East!!

Last weekend we went back to Maryland for Reese's Blessing. We got lots of Grandpa and Grandma time. We arrived on Friday afternoon and had some alone time until everyone else
there. It was a very qucik trip but was well worth it. We loved the rain on Saturday and the
leaves were outstanding. Katie, Kevin and the kids got there on Friday night and then Jake
and Deanne arrived on Saturday evening. We had a great time just being around each other
and passing little Reese around. She is so beautiful and Ryley, Ben, Olivia and Ethan were
great. We went sightseeing on Saturday, in the rain, to see the leaves changing and all the
horse farms and green, green, grass. We had to go to Wegmans and to a nursery filled with
large pumpkins. Lori already posted the pictures of the blessing and they were great. Sunday
afternoon after lunch we all went to a local park, we were going to go to a resvoir but it was closed so we went to the park. We had a great time playing soccer, football, and just talking
and enjoying each others company. There are several pictures but they were even more, so
I picked out just a few.

Grandpa Time!!! Grandma Time!!!
After bath time, wrapped up like a burrito!
Playtime with Uncle Ben!

Leaves right in front of Nate's house. Amazing!

Ryley and Ben could not resist collecting leaves!

Walking in the rain with Grandpa!

Hanging out with Grandma!!

Nate and Ben's Jack-O-Lanterns!!!

Ethan ready to go for a ride!

The colors were amazing.
So much greeeeen!!!!!!!!!
Leaves galore!!!!
What a beautiful drive!!!!

That's one big Pumpkin!
Which way do we go??
Little Ben, Caitlin, Olivia, Ethan and Ryley.
Cute Couple!
So we decided to go to a resevoir to walk out
by the water and when we got there it was closed.
We decided to turn around and go to a park that
was close by. Everyone was turning on the pavement
and Kevin decided to pull in the grass off the pavement
to turn around and with the rain we had gotten the day
before and no 4 wheel drive he was stuck!! He tried to
back up but just kept spinning his tires. So Nate and Ben
come to the rescue, they just happen to have a tow rope
in one of their cars. So they hook it up to the back of the
Suburban and pull him back onto the pavement. It is
always an adventure with the Miller Family. Thanks for
the fun time Kevin.

Olivia having fun on the jungle gym.
Girl Talk!!
Playing football with little Ben and everyone else.
Huddling up to make a play. We had a great time and as the sun went down
we got on the plane and came home. All was good
until we got to Phoenix and David's bag did not
show up. It was lost and we did not get it back until
Tuesday. It had been left in Baltimore and it came in
Tuesday and they brought it to our doorstep. How's
that for service.

"Woodcutting"

After more than 20 years, David and I decided we wanted to go out and cut a load of firewood. We use to take all of the kids out with us to do this years ago and we always had lots of little hands to help. So this time it was just David and I and we had a great time. It brought back a lot of memories and some very good times. We went up by the peaks near Flagstaff out by Kendrick park and got a load of Aspen. I have always liked Aspen because it burns hot and it does not leave very much ash. We took that home and unloaded and stacked it and then went up towards Clints Well to get another load of Aspen. By the time we got done it was dark and we stopped and ate dinner at the cafe at Clints Well. It was a great day!!
The old saw was as good as ever.

First load almost done.

There is nothing prettier than the Aspen turning colors.

Cowboy Golf at Munds Park!

Today we went up north, 27 miles towards Flagstaff,
to visit Tim Barmetler at his cabin in Munds Park.
We had no idea how large Munds Park was or how
pretty it was. We went to Tim's cabin and wound up
playing golf in a large meadow below his cabin. It was
a lot of fun and cooler than playing horseshoes in Camp
Verde.

This was hole # 3, I think.
Trying to find your ball was a bit of a challenge.

David trying to hit the ball off of clumps of grass.

Jacob, Tim's son, and I trying to dig out a ball.

What a swing, Tiger Woods look out! Ha! Ha!

What form and no need to worry about divet out
of a well groomed course.

Where oh where did the golf balls go???

Are you sure this is how Tiger got started??
Tim and David discussing hitting strategies.

Keep your eye on the ball and hope a gopher
does not steal or eat your ball.

After golfing we went to the lake at Munds Park, which we
knew nothing about. It has fish in it and it was so cool and
pleasant there. We will be coming back here for sure to fish.

Where in Arizona are we?? Munds Park Lake.....

Alumni Game 2009

This year the Alumni game was played at Butler Park,
and the games did not start until 6pm. It was a lot cooler,
more people and lots of Alumni. To start the games we
had everyone meet in the middle of the field to give a
moment of silence for Trevor Hammon, who passed away
in May. He was a starter on David's State Championship
Team. After that the festivities began. We had lots of hot
dogs, water, watermelon and chips.

Moment of silence for Trevor.

Megan Wright in great shape as always, and she
several goals, along with Nicki Finch, Angel Allen
and others.
The Alumni bench at half time. Just taking it easy.

Discussing how many more goals they would score.
For the girls game the Alumni won 6-0. The high school
team played hard and are a young team that will improve
