After we watched our girls team loose in the second round to Pusch Ridge we decided that we would go to Prescott Valley and watch a movie. I guess that was not to be the case. We turned off at Cordes Junction and started towards Prescott Valley and I was on the phone talking to Nathan and I hear a sound like we hit something and then a swishing sound and then we were pulling over with a flat tire. The right rear passenger side tire was totally flat. Of course Dave knows how to change a tire, it is just that we had not had to do it on a 3/4 ton 4x4 truck. Luckily we had a spotlight, because the flashlight we had was basically dead. So as I am freezing and shaking and holding the light Dave and I began the 45 minute ordeal of changing the tire on the side of the road with traffic whizzing by. At least it was not raining or snowing just the wind blowing and about 40 degrees. Just as we were finishing a man stopped behind us and asked if he could help, I had been silently praying for some help. He had a 4 way tire iron and that helped and he lifted the flat tire into the truck. By the time we got over to the theatre the next showing of Jumper was not until 10:30pm and so we just went to Pizza Hut and had a nice dinner. I gues we were just tryint to do to much in one day. So while I was holding the light and freezing I also took the following pictures, David of course did all the work. I am sure glad he was there because I could not have even lifted the tire to get it on or off the truck. It had to of weighed at least 200lbs., or so it seemed. David is up coaching his tournament soccer team in a friendly game with a team from Sedona. He is sick but you know how much he loves soccer. The weather today is clear and blue, blue skies, but cold. We had rain on Wednesday night. Hope everyone enjoys the pictures. Sam and Rachel you need to update your blog, please. Love mom and dad.

Where are those soccer fields? Nate was wanting to know. I hate flat tires. I can't even imagine having to jack up that huge truck. It sounds like it didn't ruin your evening too much though!
I'm surprised Dad was up for photos at this point in the day.
It stinks about the flat tire. Maybe next week you can go see Jumper. You guys sure stay busy. I had to laugh about the soccer fields being a bit like Heaven. I'm sure Dave's bit of Heaven will have soccer fields. We miss and love you guys! The kids say Hi!
45 minutes! Sounds like you guys need to get flat tires more often!
Just kidding...that is the worst. The last flat that I had was actually an explosion that sent pieces of my car flying all over. Boo.
Sounds like you are enjoying life without kids. Good job. Except the whole being maimed thing, what is that about? If I had to, I would have gotten surgery on both legs at the same time, that way you are down and out and then better, instead of prolonging the handicappage.
You should have called we would have loved to drive up and help ya! Well, i would have probably taken pictures with you while Ben helped....
I loved how you snuck in the demand for Sam and Rachel to update the blog. Ha ha
